Well, here we are once again.
As some of you may remember from last year i am the one who is charged with facilitating the PASS Radio thingy. Last year i engineered many of the presentations you experienced as Your Friendly Announcer. That was a reference to fellow year of the Tiger compatriot Stevie Wonder. This year i’ve decided to slip into my own and be who i really am. I am at a phase in my life where (except for obligations to the Orisha Tales Reportory Theatre Company as its Artistic Director) i am advancing the art of Modern Audio Drama.
So for the duration i am (the) audiodramatist… (www.capecodes.co.za)
The first thing i want to share with you (since i am an avid reader) is a quote from a Jeffery Deaver book i am currently reading –got it from the beautiful Cape Town Library. (I love libraries.) After the dedication to the late Chistopher Reeve –I actually met his physical therapist in Delray Beach Florida in the late 90’s…anyway the next page to begin the story is a quote from the Literary Giant, Ralph Ellison:
“Some People are your relatives but others are your ancestors, and you choose the ones you want to have as ancestors. You create yourself out of those values.”
Neo, Ntone and (i) think it not only profound —but so very applicable to us here at PASS. Think about this as you experience the Pan African Space Station this year. Peace and blessings…….anthony
