BLACK SUNLIGHT – A broadcast for Dambudzo Marechera on his 69th
On Friday 4 June, we celebrate the lives and work of The Black Insider heself, Dambudzo Marechera, on what would have been his 69th revolution. Dambudzo took off way too soon, on 18 Aug 1987, but left nuff WORD-SOUND-POWER for struggles to come. From 5-9 May 2021, Chimurenga’s Pan African Space Station (PASS) landed at Lavoir Moderne Parisien in Goutte d’or, Paris, to imagine, re-examine and re-circulate sonic archives of black radicalism in the francophone world.
