On Friday 4 June, we celebrate the lives and work of The Black Insider heself, Dambudzo Marechera, on what would have been his 69th revolution.
Dambudzo took off way too soon, on 18 Aug 1987, but left nuff WORD-SOUND-POWER for struggles to come.

PASS landing at Lavoir Moderne Parisien, Paris

From 5-9 May 2021, Chimurenga’s Pan African Space Station (PASS) landed at Lavoir Moderne Parisien in Goutte d’or, Paris, to imagine, re-examine and re-circulate sonic archives of black radicalism in the francophone world. Revisit sessions from PASS in Oslo

Over four days, from 17-20 February 2021, the Pan African Space Station (PASS) broadcast daily sessions for ‘Actions of Art and Solidarity’, a group exhibition curated by Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) in Oslo and organised with Kunstnernes Hus. These transmissions looked to the Festac ’77 book and selected narratives to expand on in sound. They were the first PASS sessions to be produced under the conditions of a global pandemic.
