‘We Don’t Talk no more’ Poetic Musings

This session we are honored to have with us writers, poets and thinkers Mam’ Sindiwe Magona, Dianna Ferrus, Phillipa Kabali-Kagwa and Yewande Omotoso.

  2. Dianna Ferrus is an educator, poet. She has a new book out called, ‘I’ve come to take you home.’`

  3. Mam’ Sindiwe calls herself a retiree, I know this to be far from true. She works everyday of the week, speaking, working with Thembi Mtshali Jones on adapting a book she wrote around the murder of Amy Biehl called, ‘Mother to Mother’ last year and assisting young people from the townships of Cape Town with getting grants and scholarships to further their education. `She is an inspiration’

  4. Phillipa earlier spoke of her new son, a surprise addition to her family and working with juggling her work as a facilitator, life coach and poet. Originally from Uganda Phillipa is a nomad who’s found home in a clique loaded Cape Town since 1993.

  5. Yewande is a writer and architect, she’s just finished her masters in creative writing and struggles to identify as a poet.

  6. ‘People don’t talk, so let’s talk’…. Phenominal women (4+1), gather on stage to talk about ‘writing’ in a full sense. The ups and downs of the process and the benefits there of.
