  1. So here they are: (The) Adrian Syndicate: Adrian Muparutsa, Guitar; Ludwe Danxa, Keyboards; Chad Honiwach, Bass; and Jason Skippers, Drums.

Just a second…i’ll be back…i just have to groove awhile on what is happening now-now.

  2. So here i am in the backroom studio on the transmission desk at PASS. Yes, they have to keep me away from the crowd because i am an “influence”on the goings-on. I actually don’t blame them. If i was in charge i would do the same thing to Anthony.

Oh, wait…i’ll be back; Adrian and his syndicate is drawing me to the front room to witness the groove.

  3. So as i was saying, i’m at the transmission desk trying to look like i know what i’m doing.

Gabi is back here too. She’s just cut a dress pattern of her own creation; however she got a bit upset because something went wrong and she has to undo something and do it over another way. And since it is a sexy looking summer dress, and the weather in Cape Town is very hot and summery, she wants to finish it to wear it for some time while the summer is here.

She didn’t complain too much and she really stopped complaining when i put up the volume on our “wall of sound.”

Now she has corrected the “mistake” with the help of the band’s vibe.

You see what live music can do?

What is this music doing for you?

  4. Hey, nice stick work from the drummer.

  5. Talk about mistakes…i actually spelled Gabbi’s name wrong…it’s with the double “b” not a single “b”

This is as embarrassing as last night when i spelled Ntshkus’s name wrong.

  6. I mean Wednesday night when i spelled Ntshkus played with his fantastic trio. I think they are going to be back tomorrow night.

As you may or may not know, here at PASS we have Live performace poetry on Mondays…Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays is when we feature live bands with some of the most extraordinary musicians currently hanging in Cape Town.
Thursday nights is the night of the DJ’s. Last night was a real delight with Mighty followed by an end set with Pierre.

I don’t know what is on the schedule for next week; as i said they keep me in the back and, i guess, figure the less i know the better it is for all concerned. Smart on their part.
But you can come by Tagore’s and get all the details you wish.

  7. The band took a break. Now something is being played from behind the bar.

The Adrian Syndicate will return in a bit

  8. You are listening to a CD called Chapter1 from Lwanda Gogwana Songbook
I would give you the band credits but i cant really read the liner notes. I’m old/old school and used to albums where you could read the liner notes without the use of a magnifying glass. Plus i’m way to lazy to look it up on the Internet…that’s for you to do.

  9. Okay, the Adrian Syndicate is back live at Tagore’s

    - audiodramatist
  10. I’m grabbing Gabbi and going out front to enjoy. Plus i want to see he drummer work. I like his style.

  11. Well that was enjoyable. Sat for most of this second set. Even saw Thobekile enjoying the music, which means she wasn’t in the kitchen doing her chef thing. Yes, we have it all here: Great healthy food, a full bar and of course great music.

I really like this band. The drummer even wears one of those Cape Town style hats, like i am wearing today. He was smiling, like the bass player, from ear to ear. They are having the time up there, and we in the audience smile along with them because the music just helps in that human emotional expression of pure joy when joy is in the air.

    This is an awesome experience.

    - audiodramatist
  12. Oh no, it seems like they are now playing the last tune.
Adrian told me earlier he was going back to school to finish up a degree in music. This means for us he won’t be back until August or so. Oh well, we’ll just have to wait and anticipate.

    - audiodramatist
  13. See the audience it in revolt about the leaving…

    - audiodramatist
  14. it was an honour playing there. the vibe was cooking. and joy was definitely in the air

    - Jason Skippers (the drummer)
  15. i am so glad and more is coming..
