Wednesday 6 June: Blacky Tempi’s Quartet featuring legendary pianist Tete Mambisa. Big sounds, swinging township melodies, sophisticated soulful harmonic voicings and a celebratory African rhythmic drive. Basically, the stuff of legends. Don’t miss it.
Thursday 7 June: The mighty Mighty on the decks.
Friday 8 June: Hassan’adas combine a little Samba groove with a splash of Marrabenta all fused with a twist of African jive.
Saturday 9 June: The Mapumba trio play globe-trotting rumba rhythms smeared with central-African ethnic and folk flourishes, pop panache, reggae rushes, R&B soul and multi-lingual vocal tunings.
