sorryyoufeeluncomfortable: Not Only Our Lands but also our Souls

‘Not Only Our Land But Also Our Souls’

This show will explore how the African Diaspora experiences cities and urban environments, with particular attention to notions of (un)belonging. We want to analyse the relationship between race and space and examine the movement of African people through migration, both forced and voluntary; displacement, both internal and external, and gentrification, with particular focus on the city as a space of diasporic settlement.
