The third third of today’s sessions shall see Christine Eyene share her knowledge of bikutsi music, a concert-lecture from Shabaka Hutchings on “decolonising the mind from a (modern) jazz musician’s perspective”, and then new wordplay from Anthony Joseph.

Oscillations Over Oceans’ with Rabz Lansiquot and Nyasha Mangera-Lakew alongside special guest Esa Williams, DJ, producer and integral part of the Auntie Flo set up. Through music and discussion, this show will explore ‘African’ electronic music, its production and consumption on the continent and in Europe. It will look into what its increasing popularity on dancefloors in the ‘West’ does for Africa in terms of representation, appreciation and success and whether it might be a portal to other aesthetic strategies …
