As Is navigate the PASS space-ways

Since their debut at the Pan African Station in 2010, free-form visual/ sonic artists combo, As Is have continued to navigate the space-ways, extending so-called jazz further into the unknown or unheard. Here Brendon Bussy (mandolin, electronics and assorted homemade instruments), Garth Erasmus (saxophones and traditional African instruments), Niklas Zimmer (drums) and Manfred Zylla (trombone, accordion, violin and spontaneous vocal explosions) explore the intersection of composition and improvisation during their December 2011 PASS residency at Tagore’s Jazz Bar in Obs, Cape Town.
