5 p.m. | Award-winning filmmaker and founder of Rencontres Cinématographiques of Dakar, William Ousmane Mbaye with long-time journalist and writer Pape Samba Kane discuss the un-realisibility of two historical films not made, Kattan and Talatay Nder, with film critic and renowned journalist Aboubacar Demba Cissokho.
7 p.m. | A listening session inspired by Abdoulaye Sadji’s essay “Ce que dit la musique africaine” — with Professor of African Literature and Civilizations, Ibrahima Wane, Felwine Sarr —philosopher, economist, composer, and Chimurenga’s Ntone Edjabe.
