THUR 9 Feb – The MIGHTY MIGHTY spins his vinyl magic

FRI 10 Feb – acclaimed composer and soloist Hilton Schilder brings together jazz, urban Khoi, goema and crossover sounds

SAT 11 Feb – the Ethan Smith Quartet features Eathan Smith (Sax, Flute), Kyle Shepherd (Piano), Brydon Bolton (Double Bass) and Claude Cozens (Drums) in organic compositions laced with jazz, South African, Middle and Far Eastern traditional influences.

All shows start at 9.30pm – bar closes at 1.30am.

Entry is freer than the new SA.

Busi Mhlongo

On the 15th of June 2010 a party in Observatory, Cape Town soured. An effort that had been organised by friends to celebrate my birthday and that of a close friend slowed and dragged. Text messages flooded phones, calls were rejected and friends hugged each other in small corners away from the prying eyes of those who were not aware of what had just happened.
